Sales and Marketing
In addition to working in home repair and construction
since he was 16—working with his parents’ rental homes and later with his own home—David
also brings a broad range of academic training and corporate experience to the table
in running DETAILS of Sonoma.
David has a BA in Marketing from San Jose State University and an extensive education
in Computer Sciences and Project Management. David has twenty years experience in
the corporate world working for FMC Corp., Hewlett Packard Company and Agilent Technologies.
During his 10 years at Hewlett Packard and Agilent David was a business analyst,
systems analyst and project manager. Many of his projects spanned the globe. As
an antidote to the stress of computer work David learned to cook French and Italian
cuisine. During this same time David studied kitchen design.
After leaving Agilent in 2004 David started working with Dave Douglas at Dave’s
handyman service. For eight months the two of them designed and planned the company
that David named DETAILS of Sonoma, Inc. in 2005.
David’s primary responsibilities are sales and marketing, and developing systems
and infrastructure for the company. He is generally the first contact with a prospective
client. He works with clients to develop a scope and budget for projects, write
up estimates, bids and contracts. He also has 22 years of professional project management
experience. David is also a CEDIA Certified Professional Installer I.
Born in the Midwest, David has been a Bay Area resident since high school. Since
1999 he has lived in a home in Rincon Valley, Santa Rosa with his wife of 20 years
and their three wonderful girls.
