Meet The DETAILS Team:
 

David Lucas President – Founder, Sales and Marketing

In addition to working in home repair and construction since he was 16—working with his parents’ rental homes and later with his own home—David also brings a broad range of academic training and corporate experience to the table in running DETAILS of Sonoma.

David has a BA in Marketing from San Jose State University and an extensive education in Computer Sciences and Project Management. David has twenty years experience in the corporate world working for FMC Corp., Hewlett Packard Company and Agilent Technologies. During his 10 years at Hewlett Packard and Agilent David was a business analyst, systems analyst and project manager. Many of his projects spanned the globe. As an antidote to the stress of computer work David learned to cook French and Italian cuisine. During this same time David studied kitchen design.

After leaving Agilent in 2004 David started working with Dave Douglas at Dave’s handyman service. For eight months the two of them designed and planned the company that David named DETAILS of Sonoma, Inc. in 2005.

David’s primary responsibilities are sales and marketing, and developing systems and infrastructure for the company. He is generally the first contact with a prospective client. He works with clients to develop a scope and budget for projects, write up estimates, bids and contracts. He also has 22 years of professional project management experience. David is also a CEDIA Certified Professional Installer I.

Born in the Midwest, David has been a Bay Area resident since high school. Since 1999 he has lived in a home in Rincon Valley, Santa Rosa with his wife of 20 years and their three wonderful girls.

Dave Douglas - Founder Project Manager

Dave has been working in construction since 1999, with extensive experience with residential projects large and small. In addition to Dave's wealth of experience and knowledge, he brings an unstoppable drive to deliver to the Details Team.

Dave has a BS in Psychology from Western Baptist College in Salem, Oregon. After graduation, Dave attended the Los Angeles Sheriff's academy in 1988. Dave joined the LA County Sheriff's department as a deputy and worked the courts and patrol officer. After 9 successful years as a deputy Sheriff, Dave moved his family back to Petaluma and joined the family hardware business, “Pini Hardware”, in Novato. While working at Pini Hardware, Dave attended electrical and plumbing trade schools. At the same time he also began working in construction for his father-in-law’s company and developed many specialized trades. In spring of 1999, Dave joined the Sonoma County Sheriff's organization and worked in the court system as a bailiff, but he also continued to work in construction and handyman work while working as a deputy. In 2002, Dave started his own company “Dave's Handyman Service” and was very successful. Dave's Handyman Service eventually was closed as DETAILS of Sonoma, Inc. came to life. Dave is a founding member of DETAILS of Sonoma, Inc.

As a Project Manager for DETAILS, Dave is responsible for all site activity on his projects; he oversees all contractors and communicates with clients on the progress of the project and any changes that may occur.

Dave was born and raised in Petaluma, left the area to go to school in Oregon, work in Southern California, and then returned to Sonoma County in 1987. His family has roots in the area going back to late 1800's.

Eric Rose - Founder COO, Project Management

Eric has been working in construction since 1985, with extensive experience with residential and commercial projects large and small.

Eric has a BS from Biola University in Business Administration, and did extensive coursework in Civil Engineering and Construction Management at Cal Poly Pomona. He went to work for a local construction company as an estimator/project manager in 1985, learning commercial construction. He started his own company, C.E. Rose and Company, in 1987 at the age of 27, and has never looked back. He has built many commercial structures and custom homes in Sonoma County as well as commercial and residential remodels. He has developed several small residential subdivisions as well as commercial buildings.

In addition to Project Management, Eric is responsible for the financial accounting of DETAILS of Sonoma and also provides estimating services. Eric is a certified contractor, license 544316.

Eric was born in Santa Rosa, left the area to live in Bishop and Southern California, then returned to Sonoma County in 1985. His family has roots in the area going back to 1925.
